My Story

The dating world can feel like a nightmare, but it doesn’t have to be.

I know this, not because I’ve “conquered” dating and am now happily in a relationship (although I am), but because I’ve tried and failed more times than I can count. Through those experiences, I’ve learned what doesn’t work, which has allowed me to refine a selective and intentional process that delivers results.

Dating can—and should—be fun, exciting, and rewarding. But like any worthwhile endeavor, it requires effort. You must be willing to put in the work, embrace trial and error, and believe you are worth it.

I’ve been dating for over 20 years, starting as a teenager awkwardly asking girls out over the phone. I witnessed the rise of the internet and online dating, became an inadvertent expert on the apps, met partners through friends, and even found true love by approaching a stranger on the street.

The question isn’t whether you’ll find someone or match with the right person—you will, I promise. The real question is, what do you truly want, and are you ready for it?

For a long time, I wasn’t ready for a relationship. I wasn’t prepared to settle down, and I certainly didn’t want to settle. I was picky and carried several “blind spots” that kept me from truly seeing the other person and myself. I hadn’t yet identified what I really wanted, what I valued, or what I had to offer. Instead, I was just “going with the flow.” While that approach can be fun, without a map or a destination in mind, you’ll inevitably end up “wherever.”

Drawing from my personal experiences, an M.Ed. in Coaching and Development, and over 20 years of studying and teaching self-awareness, I’m here to help you clarify what you want and provide the tools and support to get you there.
